Someone I know has been fainting alot for no apparent reason.

They have had several medicals tests that have all come back with normal results.

Now his doctor suspects that his blood pressure may be dropping suddenly (causing him to faint) and has recommended a "Tilt Table Test.

What is that?

  1. The tilt table test is done as a standard part of the syncopal work-up.  In addition to other neurologic, cardiovascualr etiologies, the tilt table tests is necessary as an exclusionary/diagnostic test to determine if the syncopal episode can be reproduced.

  2. they put u on a table flip u upside down then flip u right side up with heart monitor and take blood pressure readings to make sure your ticker is doing what  is supposed to do

  3. Tilt table testing is designed to evaluate how your body regulates blood pressure in response to some very simple stresses.
