What is a "big ego"?

somebody said that most of the people at my (private) school have big egos. what does this mean?

Big ego can be defined as "an inflated feeling of pride in your superiority to others". In other words, they are saying most of the people at your school feel as though they are better than everybody else.

Someone who thinks they are God's gift to the world.  They think they can do not wrong, and they overshadow other people because they don't think about them.  

They are generally friendly, but it is all on the surface for the simple reason there is not enough space in their head to think about someone other than themselves.

They are self-centered.  Generally, they think they are the most important, 2nd more important, 3rd most important...

It means that they think that they are "all that" when they aren't. They think they're better than they really are.

ha ha im sorry it means they are full of themselves....hopefulluy you are not one of them but sometimes people with alotof money think they are invincible.....thats how child stars are made

It means they are VERY focused on themselves instead of other people.  Fortunately, big egos can be outgrown.
