What is a digital set top box ? and do I get those digital channels on my normal analog tv for free without having to pay any subscription services? and .....what channels do I get?

and what is the difference between a HDdigital box and digital set top box ?

  1. you get ABC2 with a digital set top box. Also better reception and you get the TV Guide channels :]


  2. digital set top box is a free view box, you can buy them from asda for a bout a tenner they give you 30 or so channels . you don't pay a subscription. you pay the 30 for the box then that's it. you get channels like BBC news 24, BBC3, history channel,hits,bid up t.v,cbbc,Dave etc. it says on the box anyway.

    a hd box is a box that enables you to view shows in hd. but this is expensive.and your t.v has to be hd ready.

  3. its makes your picture look better and recieves the digital channels...and a few extras....high definition set top box is the best...contact your local hifi store for more answers...they should be able to answer any questions
