What is a "dropping talk"?

What does it mean by "dropping talk"?

It does not seem to be the same as "jaw-dropping talk".

I found the sentence

"One can see the dropping talk of having a body and substituting talk of being one." (by Terry Eagleton)

It means you stop talking about something. Like, "drop it". Except "it" is the talk of having a body. So, you stop talking about having a body and start talking about being one.
