Question:

What is a "green" way of disposing of cigarette butts?

I ask because outside my work, co-workers have literally destroyed our back lot by chucking their leftovers on the ground. I finally got irritated and put an old coffee can out there, which majority of them are using, but I'd like to know how I can dispose of them in a way that I'm not just moving the trash from one place to another without actually helping. Otherwise, what's the point?

  1. Eat them.

  2. You just throw the whole can in a plastic bag, then toss the whole thing in Your heavy duty garbage bag (less smell)! duh!

  3. there is nothing green about butts from start to finish.

  4. Send 'em back to the tobacco companies...

  5. You could burn them? Just don't let it get near any lake, streams, or creeks. The chemicals get in the water and poison the fish. Just dispose of them in a way that won't get dumped back in the environment.
