How does it compare to other types of copies?

For example, can a hard copy be stored electronically, such as on a DVD or on a hard drive?

Or is it a copy of a file that is copied without changes?

Finally, is it a paper copy (such as the name implies, HARD copy)?

  2. your last question is the correct question.  A hard copy is just that>one you can touch like a book, newspaper, paper!  You can scan a hard copy and then store it electronically on your computer, cd, or dvd and as soon as you print it out it is a hard copy again!

  3. "Hard copy" or "Carbon copy" is copy on paper.

  4. Usually it's a paper/printed copy, but is also used for a CD/DVD disk with the data.
