  1. The box of baking chocolate has each square wrapped in paper.  Each paper wrapped "square" is one square of chocolate so you need 3 of these.

  2. There is unsweetened baking chocolate sold in grocery stores already scored into squares.  There is usually a recipe on the wrapper.  It is found in the baking section of your store.

  3. 1 square = 1 ounce

so look at the weight of your bar of chocolate, and figure out how many squares is equal to that weight.  Sometimes the squares are sort of "sub-divided" so you can snap them easily for melting, but don't count that as 2 squares.

  4. the squares are standard sizes...try the recipe...and if you like it be happy...but if you want to experiment then add double the amount or whatever.

  5. The baking chocolate is already scored into squares and most brands even have half squares (rectangles).  A square is 1 ounce.
