The second step in my job interview process is called a "table top problem solving interview" What exactly is that? The letter I received says that it should take about 4 hours... Does anyone know how I can prepare? This is the 2nd step of a 3 step process. 1st was a 4 hour multiple choice test. 2nd is this problem solving interview/test. The last step is a traditional interview. I am applying for a job at a manufacturing plant.

  1. I think it relates to problem solving skills so that you would not study a particular topic so much as to study how to best approach problems.

There is a step by step approach to analyzing a problem, generating options, evaluating options, and making a decision, etc.

I would find a person who already works there and talk to them about how they did it and what exactly these people are looking for.
