  1. Torrents are P2P files that people share.

Torrent Client: (Used to download Torrents)

Torrent Website: (Where to download torrents)

  2. I'd stay away from "torrents".  It's that file sharing that will get you in trouble with copyright!

  3. Hi!

I am going to first start off saying, just to be good: "Don't download anything illegal with these torrents!".

With that said, a torrent is like a file that you download that connects you to a server to download a file. But you download it from peers. You must know about P2P, so I wont even try to explain.

To find a torrent, just Google "whatever you want torrent". Like a movie or something... "The mummy torrent" What you will get is a bunch of sites where you can download a torrent. But before you can do that, you need a good client. Vuze is my favorite, so I recommend it to you. Here's the link:

One warning: Stay away from this site:

    www.torrentz.com

They normally lead you somewhere that will give you virii and whatnot. Also, when downloading torrents, it is highly likely that there will be pornographic adds on the sites that torrents are on... Just a warning.

My favorite site to search for torrents is:

    www.isohunt.com

Now, if you still have questions about torrents, check out this site: http://www.what-is-torrent.com/

    Good luck,

  9. First you need a bittorrent client to open the torrent files.  This article discusses several of the clients and has setup guides for the suggested clients:

Then you go to a torrent search site to find the content you want.  This article discusses the popular torrent search sites and their features:

Once you find the content you want, you download a small file (the torrent) associated with the content.  Then you open the torrent with your bittorrent client and the transfer of the content will begin:
