  1. Real time system is a system that deliver information in real time instead of letting the user wait for the information to be process.

    Or

A system that don't use fake watches :-D ha ha

  2. Real time can refer to events simulated by a computer at the same speed that they would occur in real life. In graphics animation, for example, a real-time program would display objects moving across the screen at the same speed that they would actually move

  3. Technically it's any system that notes the time of an event, but the general use is a process that must happen on a strict time scedule.

The computer in your wristwatch must have a real time system.  You calculator does not.

In your car,  the speedometer or tach must be in real time.  But the radio tuner doesn't have to be.

Video or Audio playback must happen in real time or they will look & sound bad.    But simple file transfers do not have real time constraints. We want them to happen quickly, but there's no 'failure' if they don't.

In general a real time system is one where the data is judged both by content AND arrival time.

It's the difference between a writer and a journalist.  A writers story is ready when it's done.  If a journalist submitts the story late, content is irrelevant, the story has missed the presses.

  4. Usually a program that is time sensitive.  i.e. a program that can not have any interruptions during processing.  May be a broadcasting system (tv, radio), something like that.
