What is a really Good instrument to learn?

Question

I definietly will learn the piano and the dums, but i would like to learn something new and unique, any ideas?

I think something like the bass guitar or drums because they keep the rest of the music in order and without those instruments there would be sounds all over the place.

metalrocker is right those are good to learn. i would also go with some guitar, maybe some saxophone or trumpet even. they are used in many songs.

What about bass-stick, Synthesizers (electronic keyboards), harp, Reeds & Brass...

Actually there is nothing new in music instruments, only you can add the new touch/feeling to it, how ??

The Indian Flute.  My daughter has one and enjoys playing it.  It's very calming.

guitar or flute! the flute is unique and makes a beautiful sound when played correctly and the guitar can play most songs and its easy to make up new ones!
