What is a really good anti virus that has total protection?

Question

like one of those total protection programs, what is one that you would recommend, either free ones or paid ones, i heard and read that free anti virus programs don't really work that well, because it's free. Any suggestions?

There is no one BEST program for everyone!  Each person's individual computer usage is completely different.  Some folks download illegal programs and music, which exposes them to more infections than any other behavior.  Some folks only read their email and do some light surfing.

Because usage is different, the appropriate software is different for everyone.  Most of the time, several programs are necessary to maintain a full range of security.  

Here is a list of free programs that do their job well, for various security tasks:

ANTI-VIRUS:

AVG by Grisoft

Avira

Avast

Any one of these would probably work well for you!  Read the reviews to be sure.

ANTI-SPYWARE:

Since NONE of the anti-spyware/anti-adware programs are 100 percent accurate in finding and removing spyware, you need at least two programs which you will run one after the other, not at the same time.

There are three excellent free ones:

--Spybot, Search and Destroy

--Ad-Aware

--Spyware Blaster

FIREWALL:

Comodo

Online Armor

SandBoxie

Sunbelt Personal Firewall (formerly Kerio)

Zone Alarm

Free antivirus programs use the same definitions as the paid for versions, the difference being that with paid versions there may be more functionality with firewall included, web shield etc.

1. press the start button in your keyboard.

2. try to format your whole system( also DO NOT SPREAD FILES< SEND ANYONE EMAILS, because you will spread viruses

i would reccomend u McAfee Security Center...

i use it on my comp and laptop and it protectcs me...

i neva had viruses or anyfing like that...

i would reccomend it to anyone

Best anti virus available for free personal use is AVG Anti virus 8.0 You can get it from free.grisoft.com
