"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

according to the bible, i don't think i can love. there's got to be a reason to love someone, but i dont think there could be one big enough for me to be so forgiving and unselfish.in fact, i'm not sure anyone could love, according to this - unless you're God or Jesus. theres bound to be something that could happen that will break it apart. and if you could love like this, i imagine it must be painful.

  1. When you do fall in love and/or feel that someone really loves you in return, you'll know the feeling and have the answer to your question.

In the meantime, be patient and try not to worry about it too much. It will be worth the wait.

  2. The somewhat romantic notion promoted by the Bible is not the only definition of love, as researchers classify love at least 7 different ways. The love that the Bible is talking about is more along the lines of universal compassion (philos) than what we call Romantic love (eros).

Love is patient and kind, but that shouldn't make you a complete sucker if someone else is being abusive toward you.

  3. Love is a shark that eats its young, and gets caught in a fishing trawler's net.

  4. A lovers type of love is unique to that individual.

Try and distinguish the difference between "love" and "admirable".

Love is not a form of worship.

  5. There is no reason to love anyone in particular, but there is every reason to love everybody------this is that the quote in your first paragraph really means.

The love you mention in your second graph is groundless, i mean it will die sooner or later, nobody can get what he/she wants in that kind of love,     Instead, they will find that they are back to the original at the end---there is no way out, unless you gain the love in your first paragraph

  6. Well i have to agree with you, according to the bible.. i don't think anyone is in love.

There isn't ONE relationship, that I know of.. who lives by that definiton.

Obviously if you DO live by that, it should be lived by both people in that relationship; so i don't think it would be painful. In fact, i think it might be PERFECT..

    =/

According to the bible, nobody is perfect, only God...

Soo.. i think that is a very contradicting definiton..

It's simple. You dont HAVE to live by what the bible says. It's a simple choice.

    (:

  7. The is no 'reason' to love.  Love is an emotion.  Emotions are somewhat irrational.  You just love, and when you do, you do so in the manner described.
