Assume the person is doing well at a school where she is head girl.

Furthermore, is 7pm a reasonable or unfair curfew?

I would particularly like to hear from parents.

  1. 7pm 4 a girl your age is unreasonable!

i would suggest a 9 o'clock curfew on weekdays, and a 1030 pm curfew for week ends u should give ur daughter a little more freedom, because im sure she is mature enough to handle her self

  2. I'm 19, and while my parents aren't necessarily "strict" they are "strict" when it comes to following their rules (which are generally reasonable).

    I would say 4pm & 7pm are Way harsh for a teenager.

9pm on school nights and 10pm on weekends with exceptions for special occassions is more appropriate. You may or may not be able to drive yourself yet but even then... Most things close by 9 anyway so any later tends to just lead to getting in trouble.

  3. 10.

  4. that's too harsh...at least i think so im 13 and i go out with my friends everyday[nothing bad were all christian:) and we just go to the shopping center or each others house] and i dont have to be home on weekdays until...i think like 7:30...on weekends i got home at around 9:40 yesterday[i was watching a movie with a few friends and i went to the pool before that] so i think thats to harsh but thats only my opinion every parent has there ways:) mine are just ok we me going out because we go to church every friday and were all leaders of a christian club at school=] i love god:) they dont let me go out to late tho..=]

    -pandaberry [aatajb!] good luck

  5. 8 pm during the week and 9:30 on Friday and saturdays

  6. oh dear... this seems familar and guess what hapend when she turned 18??? she went crazy clubbin drinkin tatttoos piercings everything because she was almost locked down when she was younger 7 or 8 on a school night and 11 or 12 on weekends teens need their freedom and also their parents trust willl reasure their love its fine to have them call and check in every 2 hours but give the girl a lil freedom

  7. 7 pm is very unfair. i'd say a nice curfew would be 11 pm

  8. i think that nine on a school night and 11 on the weekends but u must know where they are.......and seven is a good curfew if she hasnt done her homework or has a test the next day

  9. h**l no. That is way too unreasonable. 7 pm? That is a good cerfew for an 11 year old. My mom says 10pm. But now that i'm 16 and have my liscence, when I get my after 9's she's gunna push my curfew back further. I'm hopeing 12. Your daughter will be so pissed if you decide on 7pm. Trust me, i'm pissed at 10pm.

  10. 7 pm!! thats unfair! im 17 and my curfew is 11 pm on weekdays and 2 am on weekends...thats reasonable

  11. I think that 8pm on weeknights is reasonable and 10pm on fridays and saturdays.

I am a mommy of 2. You need to make sure you trust her and that she is still spending time with the family and not maxing out her cerfew EVERY night

  12. No ones to blame. It takes two to fight. BUT, the 4 P.M. and 7 P.M. curfew is a bit extreme. It depends on whether you can drive also. If you can, then I'd say you should have a 10 P.M. or 11 P.M.  curfew on the weekends. If not I'd say a 9 P.M. curfew, because that's right about the time it starts getting dark. On weekdays during the Summer I'd say a 8 P.M. curfew. During the school year, I'd say a 6 P.M. curfew. Hopes this helps!

  13. 7?!?!?

Honey, its not even dark then...

    maybe during school thats reasonable.

    but its summer!

    most teens have 12pm !!

i dont think thats fair at all

  14. it's unfair. the rule in my house was when i was younger i had to be in the house by the time the street lights came on and then my curfew went by the grade i was in like 9th grade = 9 pm on school nights and 9:30 on weekends 10th grade = 10 pm on weekdays 10:30 on weeks ends and so forth, but those only were in action as long as my grades stayed up

  15. 8:30 weekdays and 11 on weekends....  they aren't little kids: freedom is needed especiually on weekends.
