What is a refurbished imac?

i think i might be buying one, but what does it mean by refurbished i know its like used and stuff but what are the disadvanteges from buying a new one?

Refurbished means rebuilt to new specifications. I was leary of them until I bought a refurbished cell phone. It looks and works just like a new one. They may not be quite as good as new, but they are supposed to be.

it means that the machine had a problem , it was sent back to the factory  and fixed, and now its being sold again.

the only disadvantage is that it might not have a warranty. So if something goes wrong again you cant get a replacement.

A refurbished iMac is a product that was returned by a customer and sent back to the factory to fixed any problems, and then is sold again.  Don't buy a iMac because you cannot tell the difference between a refurbished and a new one as the factory easily swapped you for a refurbished one instead of a new one that you intend to buy.  There are so many refurbished iMac out there.
