  1. there is only 1 type of ball

    normal

  2. The ball is 9 to 10 oz. in weight, 25-1/2" to 26-1/2" in circumference, 8.5 inches in diameter. Usual inflation is between 4 and 6 lbs. air pressure.

  3. "Regulation Size" is the size that is compliant to the rule either at NFHS, NCAA, or FIVB... they are all going with the same size.

Compared to "regulation size", you can also go to sporting goods stores and find larger sized "volleyballs" for beach recreation purpose, or smaller, lighter balls for kids to have fun. I have all of those so that I seem to know what you are asking about.

  4. One Size ball that is Spherical and bound in leather or approved synthetic materials. Its circumference is 25.5 to 27 inches; it weight is 9 to 10 ounces. It has 4.5 to 6 pounds of air pressure per square inch.

  5. its the one they use in the pros and olympics, that size

  6. The volleyball is made of leather or synthetic leather and inflated with compressed air. According to FIVB regulations:

Its circumference is 65–67 cm and its weight is 260–280 g.

Its inside pressure shall be 0.30–0.325 kg/cm2 (4.26–4.61 psi, 294.3–318.82 mbar or hPa).

You should note, however, that there are different size regulations for volleyballs used in youth and beach volleyball.

    Standard indoor 65-67 (25.5-26.5) 260-280 (9.2-9.9) 0.3-0.325 (4.3-4.6)

    Youth indoor 63-65 (25-26) 240-260 (8.5-9.2) 0.3 (4.3)

    Beach 66-68 (26-27) 260-280 (9.2-9.9) 0.175-0.225 (2.5-3.2)
