I got a message this evening and it was a relay message I asked them an if it was a telemarketing call he got an attitude with me. I was offended and told him to not to contact my house again.

  1. In relay messaging the caller is typically hearing impaired. Using a TTY or other electronic device, they would type their message. The Operator would place the call, tell you what the message is, and then relay your response back through the device to the caller. This would continue until the end of the phone conversation.


  2. yeah, a relay call is usually from someone who is deaf. Do u have any deaf family members. it doesn't costs u anything extra to accept the call..it's just like a regular phone conversation but it typically takes a while because u tell the operater what you want the person to know they type it to the deaf the vise versa... a easier way for a conversation to flow with a deaf person is to have them call u thru video relay.
