What is a reliable source to find out how much my antique book is worth?

  1. You can go to an antique roadshow: go to appraisers and then it will have a drop down list to the right that says view by specialty, and you choose books and manuscripts


  2. If it's not in new condition it isn't worth much of anything. Sorry.

  3. Do a search in your town, and see if there is a store that specializes in first edition books ect...They would be more in the know than a chain retailer.  I would say an antiques appraiser also.  If there is a company that does that, call them and see if they have someone who specializes in books.  It might be easy to be taken in on something like this.  Be careful and good luck.
