  1. a resource teacher is a certified teacher who has a special qualification to teach students with learning disabilities. Such students require some modified education or more help in certain areas, oftentimes reading comprehension, but also mathematics and really any subject.

If a student is having difficulty in school he/she may be introduced to a resource service in order to keep up with the assigned workload.

  2. A teacher whopolices u while u do homework

  3. In the school where I taught last year, the resource teachers were those who monitored the progress of students in difficulty. It was their job to assist students with particular subjects where they were in trouble. Each resource teacher worked with a specific set of students, but not on specific subjects. They gave extra assistance with Math and French (it was a French school) and sometimes with English, depending on the students' needs. They did not do the homework with or for the kids, but would explain and help the kid to understand. Resource teachers are there to ensure that students in difficulty, or those who might drop out or get lost in the system, get the extra help they need.

  4. A resource teacher is just that...she/he is a "resource" to help students who are sent to her during their class time that need extra help. There are computers in the resource room, tables, reference books and other aids. Study labs are sometimes done in the Resource Room. (That is the old fashioned Study Hall)

Sometimes, teachers will send students (student) to the Resource Room to take an exam if they have been absent when the test was given. Or, if the student/teacher/other students just need a break from each other  a student can go to the resource room, continue their work and just sort of chill out without any discipline taken.

  5. when i was in elementary school a resource teacher would be teacher you would go to that would help with reading and writing skills

  6. There are 2 major types of resource teacher.

    1. A special ed. teacher who pulls small groups or individuals to work on specific areas they are deficient in due to a learning disability.

    2. A teacher who is more "free" who can assist other teachers with lessons, planning, materials, etc. These tend to be expert teachers who are better utilized to bring up the skills of the school rather than focus on a classroom of their own.

  7. In my daughter's school they are the special education teachers.
