What is a restricted holiday?

My company has announced Saturday as restricted holiday on the eve of an auspicious day. I have no idea how it differs from normal holiday.

This is a holiday announced by the your co.and can avail it from the permission of your boss,but your co. would be at work.Thus it becomes a restricted holiday for you.In Govt. Deptt.restricted holidays are also allowed as per festivals of different community to avail that but govt office do not closed on that day.

a ristricted holiday means that day you have to go to your office ........it is a holiday but not for your co. that is restricted for all of their employees.  that is called a restricted holidays.

Restricted Holidays means you have to avail this holiday on auspicious day and it should be presanctioned before you take the holiday.
