Question:

What is a rocket starter stance in track? what's the difference from any other stance?

i think it has something to do with how far forward each foot is but i don't really know. i think it's when one foot isn't so far back from the other. i'm probably completely wrong though

  1. I have never heard that term.

    When rules require a crouched stance for a start it describes the position of the hands, and knee.

    On the command "on your marks" you must have both hands touching the ground behind the start line, and one knee in contact with the ground.

    I don't have any idea what a rocket starter stance is.


  2. lol i unno if it exists but we've joked about it my school track team cuz some japanese guy had a rocket start, i think it just means a rly fast start
