Fear of personal responsibility. Nobody wants to take responsibility for anything they do or say - they're always eager to leave it to someone else, or blame somebody for their problems.

Perhaps not exclusive to the U.S., I should note.

laziness is our worst affliction: over-consuming & over producing waste ! Hours spent like zombies in front of television ! Ignorance & complacency- don't get me goin' !!!
