  1. http://www.flickrmusic.com  is sure the best place to download from the Internet., especially since the databases are so huge, downloads easy, and I was provided with all burning software I needed.. I love this site

  2. Pirating is illegal just like the posts above mine giving out warez links.

  3. No p2p file sharing program will be safe. Nothing on the web can be guaranteed as safe; however, torrents are gaining popularity and you can use it with relative use. Get a program like Azureus and go to a website like thepiratebay.org to search for what you want.

  4. there is no such thing as free download and safe, best bet though, is to get bittorrent, and go to thepiratebay, (google the pirate bay) and when you do read the descriptions and be careful, dont be reckless for free stuff!! *i am not promoting pirating i swear >>*

  5. hey i have been using a program called kptunes for a while now. i also bought the new laptop with Vista Premium installed and kptunes works great on my laptop. it doesn't slow down my pc. i really like it and happy that i can use it with vista. if you have vista on your laptop then i can suggest you to go with http://www.kptunes.com where other programs don't work. it's the best and safest program. always remember if you want the program for free then you have to ready to catch viruses. never ever go with the free program which will mess you whole computer and then you have to dump it.

  6. Try http://www.teradazzle.com

  7. Go to http://www.net-music-access.com

  8. i just d/l mp3rocket and i love it!! super fast downloads and MUCH less spam and ugly c**p than limewire.

i found it by researching cnet.com for a good p2p program (i just got a new laptop too). http://www.download.com/MP3-Finders/3150... that link will take you to cnet and customer reviews to help you decide.

like another poster said, no p2p is COMPLETELY safe. just be wary of files that are way too small or weird formats. and keep your antivirus up and going!!

also, i don't know if this is true or not, but i heard its illegal to SHARE your music, but not to download from others... so go into settings and don't share any of your folders.

like i said, don't know if its true, but better safe than sorry.

    good luck!!

EDIT: I found this that explains it pretty much:

"Technically the act of using Limewire/Kazaa/Morpheus or any other P2P file sharing system IS PERFECTLY LEGAL. However, the act of sharing copyrighted music is what the authorities will prosecute for, as you are allowing other users to download something which they should pay for, for free.

The act of downloading music which is being shared by other users, is illegal, however the authorities will prosecute those who are SHARING a "significant amount of music" - like drugs they will go after the DEALERS not the USERS.

    "

  9. Limewire is a good program to download music for free

However, like all p2p programs, there are always risks using this kind of programs.  There are a lot of fake files, pretending to be a song, but is in fact a virus. The fake files should be avoided.

When you do a search for music, you always see a lot of small files. files too small to be a song. Therefor it is very likely that those small files are the fake files. Start downloading files larger than 2500/3000kb.

Because nothing is completely safe, make sure your anti virus is up to date. Just in case.
