  2. Clean Air Gardening offers organic, natural, non-toxic, biodegradable insect repellents.

Simple tips for keeping mosquitos away:

Males and females both eat nectar. If you have any sweet sticky liquids, best to clean them up.

Only the females bite. Kill them and they will stop multiplying in your home.

Discard of any free-standing water. This is where their young are put as larve. Take your dog's water bowl up and dump it every 12 hours or so and replace it with fresh water. Make sure to keep toilet seat lids down and don't let dishwater stand. If you have a birdbath outside, dump it. If there is any freestanding water, use the non-toxic pesticides in it.

Remember to never put toxic pesticides on your lawn, it seeps into groundwater and pollutes the environment.

Wear longer sleeves inside and turn up the air conditioning for about a week. Mosquitoes hate the cold. Make sure to keep doors and windows shut tight and check for any drafts or holes that you may not have noticed in your house before.

If you don't want to be bitten, try taking some vinegar. If you can't stand the taste, mix two tablespoons with half a gallon and drink a little here and there. It will make your scent less appealing. If you still can't stand it try vitamin B-1 or garlic pills to keep them from biting you. (Always ask a doctors advice before starting a new vitamin regimen.)
