What is a scan radio?

What's the differance between it an a regular radio? Can you put favorate stations that you can easily switch to? Does it take a while to change stations?

Scan is tuning the dial auto you don't have to do any thing. When you set find a strong station singal the scan will stop for 1 sec.

Than it will put the in a memory and go's  on to search for a other station and thill it's over than it will stop that is when you have a tuner set take a look in the manuel if you have one ?

A other way of scan is scan the dial the same way but stops when the singal is strong and you can tune bu hand a auto ?
