  1. There are really no big scientific issues concerning nuclear power plants.  The issues with nuclear power concern the following points:

    1.  Disposal of waste forever,

    2.  Cost of nuclear power plants,

    3.  Insuring nuclear power plants in case of an accident,

    4.  Pollution, including thermal pollution and pollution from mining,

    5.  Concentration of energy production,

    6.  Diversion of nuclear materials into weapons,

    7.  Attracting investors,

    8.  Use of ground water for cooling the condensers,

    9.  Location where it is socially acceptable.

    There are more, but the list should be sufficient.
