  1. a scrimmage  im football is a practice game it is a game but it dosent count againt thier record

  2. Uh, wow. You have never played a sport before? It's a normal game, but it isn't formal. It's just for practice. The coaches will often stop the game and give each player pointers, or explain why that play worked well. Scrimmages are present in most sports, especially ones with teams.

  3. scrimmage is just a game against two teams but its just practice and you can call time out whenever you want and your coach can step in the field and yell at you and tell you were you belong and all. its just like regular practice but with another team.

  4. It's like a game but doesn't help or hurt your record.  Sort of a practice game

  5. A scrimmage is a match between two teams that have a practice game.It doesn't count as a regular season game,it doesn't count as anything. It just helps you learn what to do in the real game without making mistakes in a season game.

    Hope this helps!

  6. It's half game, half practice. There are referees, usually. 2 teams play each other, but the coaches are right on the field. They can even run 3 or 4 team scrimmages. It's usually set up with one teams offense running 10 plays then finishing the drive, then they switch. There is usually no kickoffs or punts.

I say usually because each scrimmage can be ran differently, with the coaches dictating the parameters.

  7. A scrimmage is a practice game where the coaches set up specific situations to practice.  Such as placing the ball on the 10yd line to practice redzone offense and defense, or purposely making it 3rd and Long.
