What is a seaman in the navy and what does that job consist of?

I joined the navy to be an AO but i wanna get out of here and go now but my recruiter said the only job available was a seaman what does that job consist of and do u think i should do it?

please i need some real help. im hearing all sorts of bad things bout being a seamen. im going to bootcamp in may, and before i go i wanna no more bout this seamen job. this are the jobs im looking into n hopefully strike one out of this three AO, MA and LS. n which isthe best. thank u
