What is a service bartender and what duties do they have?

It may be a local definition but in my market a service bartender is the person that makes the drinks for the wait staff.  The service bar is not a public location and only service staff can get to it.

the bartender that makes the drinks for the servers. all of the drinks that are ordered in the restaurant are your responsibility. you probably won't be serving any bar guests. you will get tipped out by the servers. normally it is either 1.5% of the total sales or 10% of liquor, beer and wine sales. it just depends on where you work.
