  1. maiden voyage of course!

    or a jib of course!

  2. Well, the first voyage is called the maiden voyage.

But if you want to know the names of the sails:

  3. If it is three letters, it a "jib" sail.

  4. no-one mentioed the genoa.

  5. You got the Maiden Voyage one for the first trip to sea.  Names for the front sail on a boat include:

Jib, Headsail and Foresail are all names for the same thing. Genoas, Yankees and Storm Jibs are specialty cut headsails.  "Chutes": Spinnakers, Asymetricals and DRSs are large "flying" sails normally used when sailing with the wind "abaft of beam".  The name depends on the cut of the sail and its use depends upon the weather conditions and point of sail

  6. if you mean the first sail from the bow, usually it's called a jib, then foresail, mainsail and I believe Mizzin. if you mean from the top of the main mast down, it could be moonsail or skysail

and if you mean what is a ships first sailing called, it the "maiden voyage". hope that helps

  7. JIB is the front sail

  8. I try one that not said; Spinnaker?

  9. headsail

  10. maiden voyage

  11. Shake-down cruise
