What is a simple definition of science?

I don't want my teacher to think " oh, she got that out of a book" What is a imple defintion of science? Without really dificult words that a 7th grader propbably wouldn't know. HELP!!!! IT is due tomorrow!!!

  2. I think of it as organized common sense.

  3. How about "A methodical approach to seeking knowledge and truth of our physical world"  

  4. a study dealing with a knoledge of facts, body, and truths.

  5. To explain that which is observed in a way that is repeatable and valid until proved otherwise.

  6. how about "the study of the world around us"

    btw, ask your teacher if he/she can think of anything that does not involve science
