  1. I created a weekly newsletter when I taught preschool.  I gave the date and sent it home the last day of the week, spoke about what we did in the current week, the theme for the next week, the letter of the week along with the words we learned, the letter of the week for the next week and important dates.

If we cooked that week, I included the recipe for what we made.

    That's about it...hope this helps!

  2. I create a newsletter for my after care program monthly!  I always include information such as:

    - Upcoming school/ center events

    - Calendar for the next month

    - Important Reminders about payments, schedule, specific policies, etc.)

    - A short note from myself to parents

    - Photos from Aftercare from the last month

    - A section for "interesting activities" we have done

    -  And an article or cute story pertaining to the month or a specific topic (such as communication or helping kids with homework), etc.

Anyway, that is what I usually include.  It is kind of hard to explain the layout through words.  Let me know if you would like me to attach one of my past newsletters to an e-mail and send it your way!  It would propbably be easier to understand if you could see it! :-D

    Hope this helps!
