What is a simple way to make a ham glaze?

I have a fresh ham I am going to bake, but it is not spiral cut/or did not come with a glaze packet! Help!

Ho wcan I whip up a glaze with things in the house? I am not too experienced in the kitchen!!!!

Pineapple Glaze: Mix 1 cup brown sugar (packed), 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1/4 teaspoon salt in small saucepan. Stir in 1 can (8 1/2 ounces) crushed pineapple (with syrup), 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1 tablespoon prepared mustard. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Makes 1 3/4 cups.

Cheap and easy and anything you don't have is readily available to pick up!

1 cup of light/dark corn syrup

1/2 cup of brown sugar

3 tablespoons of  mustard

dash of ground cloves if you have it

In 2-qt saucepan combine all ingredients. Stirring constantly, bring to boil over medium heat and boil 5 min. Brush frequently on ham during last 30 min. of baking. Makes about 1 cup. MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: In 1 1/2-qt. microproof bowl stir all ingredients.

Down South, Coca Cola ham is very popular-

½ ham (5-6 lb.)

1 cup brown sugar

1 ½ cup Coca-Cola

1 cup crushed pineapple (optional)

Wash ham thoroughly. Rub fat side with brown sugar. Pour Coca-Cola over ham.

Pour crushed pineapple over ham. Bake at 450 degrees for 3 hours. Makes 6 servings.

You can use a jar of fruit jam or preserves like peach or apricot.

You can also cover the top of your ham with brown sugar and a cup of orange or pineapple juice and bake as usual.

when the ham is cooked, use the ham juice and put it in a seprate bvowl and add flour and and honey then it lll taste soooooooooo good.

Glazed Ham

INGREDIENTS:

1 (8 pound) bone-in shank ham

4 cups water, or as needed

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup brown sugar 2 tablespoons liquid smoke

flavoring

2 tablespoons Worcestershire

sauce

1 pinch ground cloves

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C). Place ham in a roasting pan. Pour in water to a 2 inch depth. Cover with a tight fitting lid.

2. Bake for 6 to 8 hours in the preheated oven (all day or all night). Remove from the oven, pour off drippings and reserve. Debone ham, removing any excess fat as well, and return to the roasting pan.

3. Skim fat from the top of the drippings, and discard. In a small bowl, mix one cup of the drippings with honey, brown sugar, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce and cloves. Pour this over the ham, cover and return to the oven. Remaining drippings may be discarded or reserved for other uses.

4. Bake for another 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Honeyed Ham Glaze

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup honey

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup yellow mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire

sauce 1 tablespoon dried minced

onion

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1/8 teaspoon ground ginger

DIRECTIONS:

1. Mix together in a bowl: honey, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced onion, cloves and ginger. Pour over ham slices as a glaze.

My Mom would stick whole cloves in it and then pour a glaze of brown sugar mixed with mustard (out of the bottle like you would use for a sandwich) over it.  If you have a can of sliced pineapple lay them on the ham and then pour the glaze over the whole thing.

If you don't have the pineapple or the cloves just use the glaze - I've cooked it like that several times and it always turns out good.  If you do have the pineapple, pour the juice into the bottom of your pan instead of water.
