  1. First things first,  a six pack is when you nail a defender in the face.  There are two ways of doing this.  You can either hit the ball and it nails the person in the face or serve it in there face.

  2. "Six pack" is slang for when a defender gets smashed in the face or the head with a spiked ball.  The term was originally used in beach volleyball.

  3. a six pack in volleyball is when you hit the ball and the defender takes it off the dome (head/face).  It is an older slang term which originally was used in beach volleyball.  When the defender was hit in the face he had to buy the hitter a "six pack" of beer.  The more current term for this action is a facial.

  4. Six-pack is when a defender is hit in the face with a hit (spiked) ball.  Originally was called this because you were supposed to buy the guy a six-pack if you did it to him.  Other names for it now are facial or Peluche which, I believe, is Portuguese for Teddy Bear.  Meaning you won a teddy bear for hitting the bull's eye like at a carnival.

  5. when you get hit
