I currently have 2 guppies and 2 bumblebee gobies. I want to add blue to my tank so what small fish can I add. I only really want 1 or 2 of them, so neon tetras are no good. Thanks

  1. Cichlid type is a very hardy and active fish, but it cannot be kept in a community. You can get a tank divider. If you want to be kept with guppies and bumblebee, get a betta, its very hardy and does not need an air pump either. A blue color betta lol.

  2. you could possibly get 1 or 2 fancy guppies. the males, most of the time, have blue on them. they're the one with the longer tail fin and tend to be more colorful! =] Maybe that will do the trick!

  3. The German Blue Ram Cichlid:

(If you will all) Please notice that under temperment it says peaceful, so the German Blue would do nicely in your tank. 1 or 2 is fine, but I'll be honest with you, they look stunning in a group of 4-6. While this type of Cichlid IS peaceful most of the other types are not. I'd stick with the "Ram" types of Cichlids if I were you.

Under the category of PEACEFUL Cichlids there are also:

    The Bolivian Ram Cichlid:

    The German Gold Cichlid:

There are also some Semi-Aggressive varieties that MIGHT work out, but I wouldn't chance it.

However, there is a GOOD chance that this guy will eat some of your other fish.

  4. Blue Rams are fine, but are not the hardiest of fish.  Need lots of cover and not a busy tank.

Dwarf Blue Gourami's are fine, just cant have 2...unless it is a male/female pair.  Gourami's are like Bettas and 2 males will put tension in your tank, unless you have a medium to big tank with lots of cover (plants).  One will either chase the other to submission or make the other hide.  As for just plain Blue Gourami, these get too big for a small tank and again, 1 Gourami per tank is best.

    Best of Luck!

  5. An affrican Chiclid will kill the fish you have in your tank. A Grommi will work fine.

  6. I like the Dwarf Blue Gourami:

    :)

  7. blue gouramis...there aren't many small freshwater fish that are blue...not that I've seen anyway.

  8. Your bumblebee Gobies need to be in a brackish set up, I don't know of any blue fish for a brackish set up except for some of the liveberers, some guppies could go in there if it is a light brackish tank and you condition them slowly.

  9. a blue african cichlid

  10. you can either get a pair of there:

    Blue Gourami

    or

    German Blue Ram
