Two simple words: fresh fruit.  Fresh fruit is probably one of the best healthy desserts that I can recommend.  It tastes great.  It’s healthy.  It’s seasonal.  It’s vegan and vegetarian friendly.  It’s relatively simple to prepare. And perhaps the greatest thing is that you can get some natural sugars, which provide a healthier supply of sugar than snacks laden with high fructose corn syrup.   My personal favorites are fruit salad recipes that make use of either tropical or exotic fruits as well as simple sauces derived from other fruits.

    Of course, another great thing about it is the fact that you can go beyond simple fruit service and add other ingredients.  If you don’t mind some sugar and calories, you can add a topping as simple as whipped cream or as complicated as an elaborate dessert sauce.  You also have the option of adding heat and cooking the ingredients, although fruit also tastes excellent raw.

  10. Make a trifle by layering slices of angel food cake, sugar free vanilla pudding that you make with fat free (skim) milk, fruit (strawberries and banana are great), and fat free Cool Whip.
