What is a southwestern black lizard with small yellow spots?

i found a lizard on my house that was black with tiny yellow spots. it ran pretty fast and had hug hind legs. it wasn't a salamander. i need to know if it is poisonous.

The only poisonous lizards are Mexican Beaded and Gila Monsters, which are both very slow.

There are only two venomous lizards in the US: the gila monster and the beaded lizard. Neither match the description of the lizard you saw, so your lizard is not "poisonous". It most likely was a whiptail (as they typically have spots and can run very fast.)
