To be perfectly honest I am not 100% sure what exactly you mean....

The Oldenburg horse is of German heritage and achieved original fame in Europe under Graf Anton Günther von Oldenburg (1603 - 1667) who is renowned for being a great horseman. This Graf began the long transformation of a monastery into a Royal stud to develop war horses. These horses were used by important rulers and those who were distinguishable in previous battles.

The old type of Oldenburg has mainly a combination Turkish, Neopolitano, Andalusioan and Danish (later WB) stallions to improve his stock which were more of friesian type.

Graf Anton was also well known for his traditional dressage riding which made the Oldenburg a populous choice for dressage events. The development of a strong, sturdy warhorse resulted in lower classed people to use the Graf's stallions and in a short period, the new Oldenburg strain were in high demand all over Europe as riding and driving horses.

Since then, with more development to become the now modern sporthorse the Oldenburg is a populor choice in sporthorses. With such horses as Olympic Bonfire and Saleiri, both multi multi world champions, the Oldenburg is on no turnback as popularity goes.

As to special gaits they have no 'special' gait though are well known to perform dressage and jumping extrememly abley.
