What is a spiff in telemarketing?

I am looking to get a job in telemarketing but when I read some adds to do telemarketing they would write,

"Compensation: $10.00 hour + commission + weekly spiffs"

What is a spiff in this situation? Is it an additional payment? If so, for what?

  1. Spif is Specialized Product Incentive Fund(s)

How it usually works is you reach a certain goal and the SPIF kicks in as bonus money for your efforts.

So SPIFs are generally Bonuses and usually paid by the Manufacturer or Company who wants to push their product or service over another.
