  1. a strike out is when a player misses the pitch three times and that means that he is out and each time he misses you say *strike! -nicole.miracle14@yahoo.com

  2. 3 balls across the strike zone.  either swinging or not

  3. a strike out is when you miss the ball three times when the ball is in the batting area

  4. Three strikes. If the batter swings and misses that's a stike. If the ball is in the strike zone and the batter doesn't swing the umpire can call it a stike. And up until you have two strikes on you a foul ball is a stike. Once their are two strikes though you can't stike out on a foul ball unless you are bunting.

  5. A strike out is when three strikes are made by a pitcher. WHen a pitcher throws a baseball, if the batter swings and misses thats a strike. If the batter hits  a foul ball, thats a strike. Also even if the batter doesn't swing, if the ball is perfect in the strike zone, the umpire can call it a strike.

  6. A strike out is wen u get three strikes before you get a hit or get 4 balls which is a walk. if you swing and miss its a strike, if u foul the ball off its a strike, or if its in the strike zaone and u dont swing its a strike. 3 strikes ur out.

  7. A strike out is when the pitcher throws three strikes to the batter in the strike zone. Swingining or now. If the batter fouls one off(hits the ball but not in fair territory) it is called a strike.

    But with 2 strikes and a foul boul is still called a strike but he doesn't get struck out yet. If the batter foul tips it with 2 strikes and the catcher catches it he is out. Any ball foul tipped and caught is a strike no matter what. So since the catcher caught it its an strike out. If he doesn't catch it with less than 2 strikes its still a strike because its still a foul ball he swung at.

    In baseball or softball, a strikeout or strike out (denoted by SO or K) occurs when a batter receives three strikes during his time at bat. Strikeouts are associated with dominance on the part of the pitcher,although it is recognized that the style of swing that generates home runs also leaves the batter somewhat susceptible to striking out.

    A pitcher receives credit for (and a batter is charged with) a strikeout on any third strike, but a batter is out only if any of the following is true:

    1. the third strike is pitched and caught in flight by the catcher (including foul tips);

    2. on any third strike, if a baserunner is on first and there are fewer than two outs;

    3. the third strike is bunted foul and is not caught by a fielder

  9. a strikeout is when the pitcher throws the ball to a batter and gets the batter out swinging or looking. You need three strikes to complete a strikeout... The batter doesnt put the ball into play, he doesnt hit the ball on the final strike. The ball either lands in the strike zone or the batter swings and misses the ball...now if the batter fouls the ball off and there is two strikes it is still counted as two strikes...you can foul off as many pitches as you like, just as long as you dont get walked, 4 balls, struckout, 3 strikes, or hit the ball and get a hit or get out...

  10. A strike is when the pitcher throws the ball over the plate anywhere from the batters knees to across his chest (this can vary depending on the umpire). Whether the batter swings or not, it will be called a strike. If a pitch is thrown anywhere else that does not hit this strike zone, it will be ruled a ball. However, if a batter is fooled by a ball and swings, it will be considered a strike. The batter gets 3 strikes. If the batter swings and misses or the pithcer throws the ball in the strike zone for the 3rd strike, the batter is ruled out.

  11. If you are a single player and don't get laid after the game.

  13. when the ball is swong at and missed or in the strike zone 3 times

  14. When the batter records 3 strikes in any way, strikes are pitches that are in an imaginary rectangular shaped zone that extends from the batter's hips to chest and across home plate.

  15. It's what happens when either

    -a batter swings and misses to receive a 3rd strike

    -a batter is caught looking at a pitch that is thrown over the plate for the 3rd strike without swinging

    -a batter attempts to bunt a ball with 2 strikes and the ball is bunted into foul territory.

  16. a strike out is when the umpire calls 3 strikes which make it a strike out and when the players have 2 strikes and they dont swing and they leave the fate in the umpires hands if its close 75% of the time hes going to be called out

  17. once you get 3 strikes you are out. when the pitcher throws the ball and you foul or miss 3 times then you are out and the next batter goes up to hit

  18. when batting you are allowed three swings at the ball

    if you miss once =1 strike

    twice=2 strike

    third time=3 stikes and your out

    thats a strike out
