What is a tarp pole, on a speedboat?

ive been asked for the measurments of my tarp pole..and i dont know what one is., something about 'pole for your tarp to cover up your boat, can your please take the time to measure the pole'..please help!..thanks

A Tarpoline is the Sheet that covers the boat when is dry dock or parked in a drive.  It stops the Boat from getting covered in grime and other such rubbish like that.  So to meansure a tarpole you should measure your boat W/D/B to give you the right measurement to cover the whole boat.

A tarp pole would hold up the tarp to keep rain from running in.

Could you mean tarpaulin? this is another name for tarp.
