  1. molly

  2. You could get some rosey-red minnows. They're cheap and hardy fish. My sister used them for her science experiment (flashing a light before feeding them). She bought a dozen for $1.50.

  3. fishless cycles are much easier and will not harm with fish.

if you are going to use fish make sure you do regular water changes and look after them, don't neglect them just because they are tester fish, they can live a long time and if you don't want them afterwards you could find a home for them =]

you could use goldfish they're quite hardy (singletails) but best choice in my opinion are danios i've heard they're good for cycling =]

  4. any fish can be a tester fish but people use mostly gold fishes because there cheap and there alot of them you can go to walmart there like 20cent for one!

  5. Use for what?

    Cycle a tank?

    Science experiment?

    Help you prep for ACT/SAT?

  6. They are used for cycling an aquarium. You need a few hardy fish to get the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels good. I would suggest 3 zebra danios, 3 coradoras catfish or some minnows. Or a betta.

  7. you should do a fishless cycle and buy test kits to determine if the water is safe or not.. instead of putting a fish in and seeing if it dies
