This will depend on the school district that you work for and their "idea" of a statement. However, from all of the trainings from my school district and college, this statement would summarize what your unit is covering.  This is a bit different than how my district does it. We follow the LFS model that actually used questions for learning objectives that we want our students to answer. Ex:  What contributing factors led to the end of the second World War?
