What is a thrift store? and where can i find one?

Im having a party and i had recent questions some saying i should go to a thrift store.what is a thrift store and where can i find one around where i live??

A thrift store is a second hand shop and without knowing where you live it's hard to say where to find one.  

I know in Canada we have Salvation Army Stores, Goodwill, Value Village.  I've seen Frenchy's in Nova Scotia....that's all of them that I can think of right now.

thrift stores are kinda like good wills.

they have vintage stuff, and sometimes cheap stuff.

Find a goodwill nearby or check online for thrift stores

Go to google type in "thrift stores near ZIPCODE"

and fill in your zipcode

No idea what kind of party youre having, but a thrift store is a place that carries donated clothing, furniture, childrens toys, kitchen items.. etc. Pretty much everything and everything. It's like a huge garage sale.

Google thrift stores or salvation army followed by your city name, and things will come up. Or yellow pages.

However.. for a party... i'd think you would want to visit a dollar store instead?? They carry cheap decorations, party supplies such as food plates, glasses, utensils. Table clothes...anything and everything for $1 - $5
