  1. In SOuth Africa a traditional English breakfast is served with toast (wholewheat bread or white bread) bacon egg and tomato fried and with sausage either beef or pork, however since south africans like to add their own touch they sometimes fry a banana sliced in half horizontally together with fried yellow and red peppers. Oh and dont forget the fried mushrooms done in butter with sherry and mushroom spice.  Serve with a glass of fresh orange juice and follow it with filter coffee and hot milk.

You are guarenteed not to want much for lunch or supper after such a spread!!!! LOL

For someone who prefers to eat healthily one can serve a slice of paw paw with yoghurt or sweet melon and yoghurt or a small bowl of muesli with fresh banana and a flavoured yoghurt of your choice.  No sugar Just eaten like that. Far healthier for sure!

  2. I had this same question and looked at breakfast on wikipedia, it had a lot of good info.

    ENJOY!!!!!!! Bon apetite!

  4. Continental breakfast with the following:

Fruit juice like orange and apple.

Bacon and ham with bull's eye or poached egg

    Butter and jam toast

    Local Fruits

    Cereals with milk

    Tea or coffee

  5. Some countries on the Continent, such as Holland and those in Scandinavia, add a bit of fruit and/or cheese to the bread menu, occasionally even a boiled egg or a little salami. In Britain, of course, breakfast can include bacon, eggs, toast, a bit of broiled tomato, etc. We’ve heard that referred to as a full English breakfast.

But the full European breakfast sounds to us and our travel agent friend as "marketing fluff."

  6. When I lived in Germany my landlord used to dish up lard, rye bread and plenty of mustard, washed down with schnapps and red wine.  Now, that kept the cold out!!

  7. A traditional English breakfast consists of eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, toast and a roasted tomato.  Yummy!
