What kind of tree? In Geneology it shows how familys are related.In Botany it is a plant that has leaves and somtimes produces fruit.

Visualize a stately Oak tree in your mind.  Roots buried deeply into the soil.  Stretching oh so tall into the heavens.  Your first (hopefully known) ancestor is the base... (but the roots hold many of his/her ancestors, yet unknown.)

Up the tree you go, each branch, twig, leaf are ancestors...many, indeed the number can be staggering.  You are at the top...or if you have issue (children) they are above you.
