They are known to be fairly well behaved fans. Every teams has some good and bad though.

Well if they are anything like the people of San Fran, then they are bunch of stuck-up, granola, overally liberal whiners.

They have the unrealistic expectation that their team will win the Superbowl every year.  As a result, they have little or no patience for players and coaches who do not win a Superbowl.  There was a time when they tried to get rid of Steve Young, but they have actually been successful with George Seifert, Steve Mariucci, and Jeff Garcia.  They also don't understand the need to "rebuild".  The win-now attitude creates such enormous pressure on the coaches that no one is allowed to develop a "program".  Someone like Jon Gruden, Tom Coughlin, or even Bill Cohwer would have been booed out of town and never allowed to grow a team incrementally.

They are also the most fair-weather group of fans in the league.  Prior to 1981, 49er games were not televised because they could never sell out.  When they started winning, they became the pride of the Bay Area, but now that they are losing again, the attendance has continued to drop.

It depends some 49er fans are old so they are the ones that cry or feel bad when they lose. Most younger 49er fans now are hispanic, and they get drunk at the games tailgating. Most 49er fans now always talk about what the Niners use to do. They definitely love to argue the 80's, don't ever do that with a die hard 49er fan.
