  1. Wake up and have a long hard day of work

  2. People do the same that others do in their countries.  But it depends on the day of the week.

    Monday - Friday

Wake up early to go to work.

    Take breakfast

    Go to work

    Stay at work

Having lunch with your family or colleages

    Work

Go home to your family or go around with your friends

    Weekends

Go out with your family or friends (movies, restaurants, shopping, sightseeing, picnics)

    Go to church on Sunday

Having meals with your family and friends.

GUATEMALANS are people just like you or someone else in different countries around the world.

  3. wake up drink cafe au lait, if on the outskirts you can still listen to the birds singing. Try to get to work early before 7 am to beat traffic.  at 10 am you have a coffee break and lunch at 12 and a second break at 2 pm before you head on home . your home at 4 or 5 depending on schedule toshare with kids and family. If our ambitious you go straight to your business or office and get home at 7 or 7:30 pm have dinner watch cable w family do homework with the kids and wrap up your day. Not to forget Guatemala City has spring time weather all year long..

  4. Since most people in Guatemala City are extremely poor, they wake up early (4 or 5 a.m.) and head out to try and sell goods to make ends meet.  If they are lucky enough to have a steady job, that isn't working as a vendor, they go off to work and don't return until well after sunset.   Add in the crime element and they are trying to not lose their day's wages to robbers.  A lot of people run markets out of their houses and sell convience store materials.

I know from staying in the city away from the tourist areas that Water trucks come by starting at about 4 a.m. blowing horns to distribute water into 50 gallon drums for those that aren't lucky enough to have running water.

Basically, they do whatever they can to make a buck and survive.  That means everyone in the family, from the parents to the 6 or 7 year old walking around shining shoes.  It's really sad when you see someone shine your shoe and they charge 1 quetzal (about 15 cents in U.S. currency).  Not to mention they do a better job than most shoe shiners in the U.S. who charge a ton more.

  5. well like we do most of the time

    wake up  at 4 A.M.- 7 A.M.

Shower if they have a bathroom

    change clothes

    eat breakfast

    tv for a little bit

head to work or school at 7:00 am (optional)

school kids out at 1:00 pm

adults with jobs at 4:00 pm

home work, tv, phone time, playing, and ect at 5:00 Pm

    DINNER at 6-7

Again with the home work, phone, playing, and ect at 8-9

    (optinal)

then sleep for a new day at 8-9
