  1. You really can find almost anything your heart desires.  I ate at a Chinese restaurant one day, and got fruit from the market on another (very hot day).  One day, another student and I got pizza.

A wedge of quiche, with some salad and fruit is a delicious possibility.

A panini -- my fave is Panini Rome, which is ham and cheese on bread with sesame seeds on top, pressed in the panini maker, then opened and stuffed with fresh crisp lettuces and very ripe tomatoes.

At one boulangerie, I was offered a hot dog with egg salad on top (no thank you!).

An open faced sandwich and side salad was on the menu another day.

  2. I am so pleased to suddenly learn how I eat in my country -

A typical meal - is composed of  an appetizer - say reddices with butter and bread - typical - simple - nice

then stewed beef with boiled potatoes - let's call it "bourguignon"

Then mandatory green salad - maybe some cheese

and a dessert - fruit or icecream why not

During the week no alkoholic drink

Then a cup of strong coffee -

    That's all - thank you

    At night    Veggies soup

Omlet - Salad - Cheese or yoghurt

                       Fruit

                       Then lime tea

    Bye bye

  3. Definetly FrENcH FRiEz!!! And also Crem Brule, and Tiramisu!

  11. Extremely expensive.

The thing that gets you if beverages...

In France, a bottle of water can be as much as six dollars, and same with pop.  If you can handle it, I would get beer or wine with meals, just because its so much cheaper!

As for the menu, Don't go for meat, they don't do it well there,

    I had a HORRIBLE experience with Duck'a'l'orange...

    Burgers are especially bad.

Pasta is safe, but be careful when ordering pizza...

IF you want tomato sauce on it, you have to ask for pizza Margarita!

And don't tip.  Tips are built in! So don't let waiters fool you!

  12. Snails...with a side of frog legs..ooohhh, my mouth is watering

  13. french fries
