  1. I tried checking what country you lived in so I could give you an accurate answer. I am assuming you are Australian (from a question you asked on Vietnam).

    In Australia it is the "Media Alliance" that is the union for journalists, TV news cameramen, news photographers, actors and people who work in allied fields. Before 1989 (when a number of organizations amalgamated) it was the Australian Journalist Association (AJA).

    In Britain it is the "British Union of Journalists"

    There is an international umbrella organization, The "International Federation of Journalists".
